A lot of AI news is engineered for clicks, not clarity. Here are the recurring headline types you can scroll past with a clear conscience.

"AI just passed [some exam]." Passing a test isn't doing a job. Interesting, not important.
"This AI will replace [profession] by [year]." Confident predictions about the future are marketing, not news.
"AI is becoming conscious." It isn't. This is almost always a misreading of a chatbot sounding human.
"The [scary number] jobs AI will destroy." These forecasts have been wrong for decades and will be again.
"You're already behind on AI." You're not. This headline exists to sell you something.

The signal is boring: real, specific tools that help real people do real tasks. The noise is dramatic. Follow the boring stuff.
